What is the Guthschmidt font?

Guthschmidt and Guthschmidt Condensed are based on a 1924 KLM Royal Dutch Airline poster that was designed by THE Dutch commercial artist Anthonius Guthschmidt (born Haarlem 1887, died Leiden 1958). The poster draws on the imagery of the legend The Flying Dutchman. Our gallery image is a reconstruction of the original poster, but using our fonts.
