What is the Trump Mediaeval® font?
Trump Mediäval was designed by Georg Trump for the Weber foundry and released between 1954 and 1960. A student of F.H. Ernst Schneidler, Trump was a prolific type designer who considered himself first and foremost a teacher of the graphic and lettering arts.
With its crisp angularity and wedge-shaped serifs, Trump Mediäval appears carved in stone. It is a strong text typeface that is highly legible and especially useful for low-resolution output, such as faxed correspondence. Mediäval is the German term for oldstyle; this design is a modern rethinking of the oldstyle theme.
