Modelling

Modelling is the process of creating a representation or simulation of a system, concept, or phenomenon to study its behavior, characteristics, or interactions. This representation can take various forms, including mathematical equations, diagrams, physical models, or computer simulations. The purpose of modelling is to simplify complex realities to better understand, analyze, predict, or communicate various aspects of the subject being examined.

In different fields, modelling serves various functions: in science, it helps to test hypotheses and explore theoretical predictions; in engineering, it is used to design systems and predict their performance; in economics, it can simulate market behaviors or consumer actions; and in the arts, it can represent ideas or generate visual representations of narratives. The effectiveness of a model depends on its ability to accurately reflect the underlying principles of the system it represents, as well as its utility for the intended analysis or decision-making process.
